Wedding Venues

The municipality has its own wedding venues. In addition, it is also possible to request an alternative wedding venue.

Alternative Wedding Venues

The city council believes that, in principle, it should be possible to get married at any other location as well. After all, it’s your day, and you decide how it will unfold. We refer to this as an alternative location.

Requests

• The bride and groom must submit the request themselves;
• The application must be submitted in writing. You may use the application form for this purpose. 

Terms and Conditions

• The location must be open to the public and accessible;
• The safety of those present must be ensured;
• A ship or boat must be securely moored to the shore or docked at the time of the execution or registration;
• The (special) civil registrar and the usher must be able to perform their duties properly during the ceremony;
• The location must be identifiable usingcadastral dataand a map if no address information is available;
• Permission must be obtained from the owner or manager.

If you are organizing a wedding (reception) and setting up a temporary structure, such as a (stretch) tent, that is intended to accommodate more than 150 people at a time, you must submit a notice of use. For more information, visitthe page “Fire Safety forTemporary Structures, Notice of Use.”
