Moerdijk Is Alive!

Do you have a fun idea for your neighborhood? For example, a neighborhood barbecue, a get-together with your neighbors, or some other fun activity? Through MoerdijkLeeft, you can borrow materials for free!

The “Moerdijk Leeft!” Community Fund is a joint initiative of the Municipality of Moerdijk and the Woonkwartier housing association. The fund makes it possible to organize activities together with your neighbors. How does it work? You come up with a good idea—it could be a neighborhood barbecue, a street party, or a New Year’s reception, for example. We’ll provide the materials needed to set up the event—such as tables or heaters—which you can borrow for free! You and your neighbors can then get to work organizing the event.

You can find the available materials on the request form. There, you can also specify which materials you want and how many copies. You’ll also see right away how many copies are still in stock.

When the goods are issued, sign the loan agreement and you will receive the materials. 

Rules of the Game

We recommend that you request your materials at least one week in advance. When you pick up the materials at the municipal depot at Parelhoenweg 1 in Klundert, you will be asked to sign a loan agreement.

Who is "Moerdijk Leeft!" intended for? 

Any resident of the municipality of Moerdijk can apply to Moerdijk Leeft! Applications from associations or foundations will also be considered, as long as the activity is open to everyone from the organizing district, neighborhood, or town.

An important rule of Moerdijk Leeft is that we only lend out materials intended for activities supported by a broad group of local residents. The activity must therefore be organized jointly by the residents, and a representative number of local residents must participate.

Therefore, please include a list of participants with your application. This will help prevent your application from being rejected. 

Terms and Conditions

• You must return the borrowed materials clean and undamaged by the agreed-upon date and time. For each day the materials are returned late (without timely notice from you), a late fee of €25 per day will be charged.
• If, in the opinion of Moerdijk Leeft, the materials are not returned in a clean condition, you will be charged a cleaning fee of €40 per hour.
• During the period of use, you are responsible for and liable for the management and proper use of the materials. You will be charged for any damage resulting from irresponsible behavior. Please note that when you return the materials, Moerdijk Leeft may require you to work with them to verify that the borrowed materials are in good condition. 
• Moerdijk Leeft is in no way liable for any damage resulting from the use of the borrowed materials.
• Moerdijk Leeft does not guarantee that all materials you have reserved will actually be available.
