Temporary Takeover of Informal Care

Are you receiving informal care and would you like to ease the burden on your caregiver? If so, you may be able to attend a day care center temporarily or stay at a facility or respite home. This support is designed to relieve the burden on the informal caregiver or the person’s immediate family. It may be intended for clients who require constant supervision or who need ongoing care or care at irregular intervals.

Some health insurers cover this “respite care” through supplemental insurance. If this is an option, it takes precedence over support provided under the Wmo.

You are required to pay acopaymentfor this respite care.
