Recognition of Informal Caregivers

The informal caregiver appreciation program is a gift card. For each care recipient, the municipality provides a maximum amount of €140 in the form of a gift card worth €35 per informal caregiver. This means that up to four informal caregivers may be registered per care recipient to receive the informal caregiver appreciation gift card. The informal caregiver applies for the gift card themselves.

For informal caregivers who are not familiar with the internet and/or do not have a smartphone, laptop, tablet, or computer, support is available during one of the consultation hours offered by Moerdijk voor Elkaar (formerly OnsMoerdijk). These sessions are held on Wednesdays at the Fendertshof in Fijnaart from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Thursdays at the town hall in Zevenbergen from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Or call Mantelzorg Moerdijk at 0168-331357.

Who is eligible for the appreciation menu?

Do you provide long-term, intensive care or support to someone close to you? Does the care you provide go beyond what is considered standard care? Does the person you care for live in the municipality of Moerdijk? If you can answer “yes” to these questions, then you are an informal caregiver and are eligible for the municipality’s appreciation package. You do not need to live in the municipality of Moerdijk yourself.
