Changes in Management, Notification

If your restaurant or bar is open, a manager listed on the permit must always be present. Therefore, be sure to update your permit in a timely manner if the situation changes.

Before you begin the application, your new supervisor must have completed and signed the “Supervisor’s Statement, Form A” (commercial hospitality business) or the “Supervisor’s Statement, Form B” (semi-commercial hospitality business). Make sure the completed form is available in digital format so you can attach it to your application. The forms can be found at the bottom right of this page, under the heading “Forms.”

Terms and Conditions

Managers are evaluated based on the following requirements:

  • they are 21 years of age or older;
  • They have not committed any criminal offenses. The police are consulted for advice on this matter. This involves reviewing any previous reports on file with the police. Criminal records are also requested from the Department of Justice;
  • they are not under guardianship (financial supervision) in theCentral Guardianship and Administration Registry;
  • They are registered in theSocial Hygiene Registry.

BIBOB Investigation

If one or more of the managers is a director of a hospitality business, a Bibob investigation will also be conducted. It’s a good idea to fill out theBibob questionnairein advance and gather the required attachments (see the form).
