Organize a game of bingo, a wheel of fortune, or a raffle
Are you organizing a bingo game or a wheel of fortune? If so, all you need to do is file a notification. For a lottery, you must apply for a permit.
A bingo game or wheel of fortune must be reported at least 14 days in advance.
Apply for a lottery license at least 8 weeks in advance.
Terms and Conditions
Bingo or Wheel of Adventure
- The game of chance is organized by a Dutch association or foundation that has been in existence for at least 3 years.
- The association or foundation has a purpose other than organizing gambling activities.
- Organizing the event benefits everyone. No one in the association or foundation personally benefits from the proceeds.
- The prize amount does not exceed €400.00 per round and €1,550.00 per event.
- No other games of chance may take place at the same location and time.
Lottery
- The purpose of the raffle must be in the public interest. For example: purchasing new equipment for the sports club.
- Is the lottery prize package worth more than €4,500.00? If so, you must apply for a license from the Gaming Authority.
- To hold a “Shopping Week” promotion, you must apply for a permit from the Chamber of Commerce. A “Shopping Week” promotion is a raffle in which you and at least 9 other small business owners give out free raffle tickets to customers. To apply for a permit, contact winkelweek@kvk.nl.

Costs
- There is no charge for registering a bingo game or wheel of fortune.
- Applying for a lottery license costs €55.02.
