Moving within or to Moerdijk

If you are moving to or within the municipality of Moerdijk, you must notify us. You can do this online using DigiD, or at the counter in City Hall. 

Are you moving from Moerdijk to another municipality? If so, please notify your new municipality.

Notify Us of Your Move

You can report your move starting 60 days before the move or no later than 5 days after the move. If you report your move within five days of the move date, the municipality will process the move date retroactively. You will receive confirmation of this after the move.

  • Valid, original identification document

You can also notify us of your move in writing. To do so, please fill out the form below in its entirety and email it, along with a copy of your ID, to persoonsbeheer@moerdijk.nl.

Processing

Your change-of-address notification (digital or written) includes your moving date. The municipality will update the Basic Register of Persons with your move on that date. If you submit your change-of-address notification within five days of your moving date, the municipality will update the register retroactively. You will receive confirmation of this after you move.

Living with Someone

Is someone already registered at your new address, and will you be living with that person? He or she can give permission for you to live there through the online registration form. This is done using DigiD. 

If you do not have a DigiD, you can provide written consent. This is done using DigiD. Please attach this document and a copy of the primary resident’s identification to the online notification.

Who is authorized to report a change of address?

  • You, if you are 16 years of age or older.
  • The parents, legal guardians, or caregivers of minors under the age of 16
  • The parents, legal guardians, or caregivers of minors aged 16 and 17 who live at home, unless these individuals file the tax return themselves
  • The guardian of the person placed under guardianship
  • An adult child living with his or her parent(s) at the same new address
  • Parent(s) for their child who has reached the age of majority and has the same new residential address
  • Spouses and registered partners who share the same new home address
  • Any adult who has been authorized in writing by the applicant to do so

If you are living together but not married, each of you must report your own move.
