Vertical gardens, flower boxes, and tree basins

Streets can be made more beautiful, greener, and healthier by creating a facade garden, planting a tree pit, or installing a planter. As a municipality, we’re happy to help make that happen.

Terms and Conditions

There are a number of rules governing the use of and permission to create a facade garden:

• There must always be at least 1.5 meters of clear walking space.
• Facade gardens may be no more than 30 cm wide and 6 meters long.
• They must not cause a nuisance due to overhanging vegetation.
• No fences may be installed either.
• Tree gardens must be located in the immediate vicinity of the home.

You will receive a usage agreement for the facade or tree garden, but you will not be required to pay a fee.
