Is your home not connected to the sewer system? The municipality will connect your home, business, or building to the public sewer system starting at your property line.

Terms and Conditions

• The work and subcontracting required to construct, modify, replace, or repair the requested connection from the main sewer line to the property line will be carried out by or on behalf of the municipality;
• The costs of this work are the responsibility of the applicant;
• Upon receipt of the application, the municipality will prepare a cost estimate for the work to be performed. This estimate will be submitted to the applicant;
• Once the applicant has accepted the quote, we will proceed with the connection. The applicable fees will then be billed;
• Connection is arranged in consultation with the owner and/or user;
• The connection request must be received 8 weeks before the desired connection date;
• In principle, a separate connection to the municipal sewer system is installed for each lot;
• A cleaning access point must be installed on the applicant’s property, 0.50 meters from the property line. The location of this access point will be determined by mutual agreement. The access point must be and remain easily accessible. The municipality has the right to inspect the access point at any time. The owner is not entitled to compensation, in any form whatsoever, for damage resulting from the removal of vegetation, paving, or other obstructions necessary for the inspection;
• The portion of the sewer system located on private property must be approved before connection can take place. The applicant must request an inspection from the municipality of Moerdijk in a timely manner;

In any case, it is not permitted

• Connection of stormwater drains, drainage systems, or cooling water drains to a pressure sewer system or to the wastewater sewer system of a separated sewer system;
• Connecting overflow pipes to septic tanks. These must be removed or bypassed before the connection is made.

Costs

The costs are calculated per connection.

Issuance of certificates or permits to businesses

If you wish to apply for a sewer connection to discharge industrial wastewater, you must first obtain a discharge authorization or permit. Whether you need a discharge authorization or a permit depends entirely on your situation.
