Ukrainians – living expenses

Since February 1, 2023, the municipality of Moerdijk has been implementing the revised national program “Living Allowance for Ukrainian Refugees.”

The new regulations take family size into account. A family consists of partners and their minor children. Other adult family members (e.g., adult children, grandparents, uncles, and aunts) form their own households. The more people in the household, the lower the amount per person. The amount is deposited into a single bank account or prepaid card per household. If anyone in the household has income from work, you will not receive living expenses.

When people stay in private housing, they receive an additional €77.16 per person per month.

Prepaid card or bank account number

If you have not yet been able to open a bank account, the municipality of Moerdijk will provide you with a prepaid debit card until then.

Your living allowance will be deposited onto this prepaid debit card. It is not possible to receive a salary on the prepaid debit card. As soon as you have a bank account number, you must provide it to the municipality using a change-of-information form and return the prepaid debit card. From that point on, your living allowance will be deposited into your bank account.

Registration Form

If you arrive in the municipality of Moerdijk and would like to receive a living allowance, you must fill out a registration form.

The application form is provided below. To apply, you’ll need a Citizen Service Number (BSN) and a bank account or prepaid card. If you meet the eligibility requirements, you’ll receive your monthly living allowance in your bank account or on your prepaid card.

Change Request Form

If there are any changes in your personal circumstances or those of your family, you must report them by filling out the change form.
