Promising Start
Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the best chance for a bright future. A child’s first 1,000 days—from pregnancy through about age two—are of great importance. During this period, the foundation is laid for healthy development, both physically and emotionally.
Through the “Kansrijke Start” program, municipalities, healthcare providers, and other organizations work together to provide the best possible support to (expectant) parents and young children. In the municipality of Moerdijk, too, people are working hard to ensure a good start for every child.
What does this mean for you?
Are you pregnant or have you just become a parent? If so, you have a lot to deal with. It’s a wonderful—but sometimes also nerve-wracking—time. With “Kansrijke Start,” we ensure that you can get the right support in a timely manner, if needed. This might include:
- Effective collaboration between midwives, postpartum care providers, child health care providers, and other professionals;
- Additional support during pregnancy;
- Support for questions about health, nutrition, and parenting;
- Help with stress, financial worries, or other challenges.
Together, we'll figure out what you and your family need to give your child a healthy and safe start in life.
Who is "Kansrijke Start" for?
"Kansrijke Start" is available to all (expectant) parents. Sometimes, a listening ear or practical information is all that’s needed. In other situations, additional support may be helpful. Support is always provided in consultation with you and only if you need it.
