West Brabant Library

The West Brabant Library serves Moerdijk and is located in Zevenbergen.
At the library, you can borrow books, participate in activities, read the newspaper, practice the Dutch language, practice with numbers, or learn how to use a computer. There are also regular fun activities, such as lectures and workshops.  And during school vacations, children can participate in the BiebFabriek for free. For toddlers and their parents or grandparents, there are storytime and hands-on activities. Courses, workshops, and consultation hours are also regularly organized in the other neighborhoods of Moerdijk. Check the library’s calendar to see what’s happening in Moerdijk. Participation in activities is free for everyone—even if you’re not a library member.

There’s also a library pickup and drop-off point in Willemstad. You’ll find it at Buurthuis Irene (Grimhoek 15). You can’t browse for books here, but you can pick up and return reserved books. If you’re a library member, you can reserve books through the library’s website or app.

There are also three library service points in Moerdijk. Here you’ll find a small collection of books. A staff member is on site once a week. You can find these service points at:

The Log Cabin

At the De Blokhut community center in Willemstad (Prins Bernhardplein 2), you can take part in the “Klik & Tik” computer course. There is also a language practice group where you can practice Dutch. The library regularly organizes lectures and workshops here as well. Check the calendar to see what’s happening.

Walk-in Consultation Hours for Digital Government and Digi-Taalhuis in the Neighborhood

Here, you can visit us for free and without an appointment if you have questions about DigiD, taxes, benefits, or other matters related to digital government. Or if you’d like to start practicing your basic digital skills. During this consultation hour, you can let us know what you’d like to practice. We’ll then work with you to determine which course or training is best for you.

Become a Member

The library is open to everyone. All residents can visit the library to access information. As a member, you can also borrow books and other materials. Children under 18 can become members of the library for free; various membership options are available for adults.

Practicing Dutch, math, and learning to use a computer

Would you like to learn to speak, write, or read Dutch (better)? Would you like to practice with numbers? Or learn how to use a computer? Then come to the Digi-Taalhuis walk-in consultation hours at the library. Every Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. These consultation hours are free, and you don’t need to make an appointment. At the Digi-Taalhuis, you can let us know what you’d like to practice. We’ll then work with you to determine which course or training program is best for you.
