Combined Lifestyle Intervention (GLI)
Are you overweight and want to feel healthier? Then the Combined Lifestyle Intervention (GLI) might be right for you. The GLI is increasingly becoming part of a broader, family-centered, integrated approach. While children are supported through the “Kind naar Gezonder Gewicht” (KnGG) program, the GLI offers tailored support for parents. By linking these two interventions, the program works toward sustainable lifestyle changes for the entire family.
What is the GLI?
The GLI is a 2-year program. You’ll receive guidance from a lifestyle coach. Together, you’ll work on:
- eating healthier
- get more exercise
- Sleep better and relax

It's not about a strict diet, but about small steps you can keep taking.
Who is this for?
The GLI is for adults and seniors:
- overweight
- or who are severely overweight
Your primary care physician or practice nurse can work with you to determine whether the GLI is right for you.
How much does it cost?
- The GLI is fully covered by health insurance
