Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The municipality of Moerdijk provides owners of an AED device with an annual subsidy of €100 for maintenance. This subsidy can be requested for each calendar year from January 1 through December 1. The subsidy is granted for the current calendar year.
- The AED is available 24 hours a day
- The AED has been registered with HartslagNu
You can read more about this in the subsidy program:Detailed Rules for AED Maintenance Reimbursement. We hope that this subsidy will help increase the number of AEDs available. This will significantly improve the chances of survival for people experiencing cardiac arrest.
As of today, it is once again possible to submit an application for reimbursement for 2026.

Why can't everyone see where the AEDs are located?
An entry in a public database could result in people not calling 112 or delaying their call because they first look for the nearest AED. In that case, the professional emergency services are not alerted—or are not alerted immediately—and HartslagNu is not activated—or is not activated immediately. This can cost lives.
