Parking Zone Exemption in Willemstad
The parking disc zone in Willemstad is in effect year-round, Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitors who park within the fortress walls during these hours may do so for up to 2 hours. Residents and business owners within the fortress walls of Willemstad may be eligible for an exemption from the parking disk zone. In addition, residents receive 25 visitor passes for the entire year.

Terms and Conditions
- You are a resident or business owner within the fortified city of Willemstad
- You must reside at the address for which the motor vehicle exemption is being requested
- You must apply for the exemption yourself for a motor vehicle with more than two wheels
- The motor vehicle must be registered in your name
- If you own a leased or company car, you must provide a statement from the vehicle’s registered owner (company or leasing company)
- Business owners must demonstrate that an exemption is strictly necessary for the operation of their business.

Yes, you still need to apply for an exemption from the parking disc zone. The access pass only grants you access to the fortress on Sundays; it cannot be used for the parking disc zone.
This is not possible. Boat owners who wish to park for more than 2 hours must park outside the fortifications or at the Jumbo.
If you have a disability parking permit, you are exempt from the blue zone. You may park for an unlimited time as long as the permit is displayed on the windshield. Therefore, an exemption is not required. This is stipulated in Article 85 of the 1990 National Regulations on Traffic Rules and Traffic Signs.
The blue zone is in effect only from Thursday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
