A Greener Moerdijk

Moerdijk is going green! After all, a green village or city is better able to withstand extreme weather, such as downpours and heat waves. We’re basing this on the 3-30-300 rule. 

• Everyone can see three significant trees from their home. 
• The neighborhood has 30% tree cover, which provides some shade in public spaces.
• The distance to a park or green space where you can relax and/or play is no more than 300 meters. 

On this page, you can read about the greening plans for each community, find out how your street or neighborhood scores based on the 3-30-300 rule, learn how you can get involved in greening efforts, and find out how to get started at home (possibly with a grant). 

For each city, you'll also find an overview of completed greening projects and those that will be developed in the coming years.
