Announcement Regarding the Revocation of Grave Rights
As of April 1, 2027, the burial rights for certain graves will revert to the municipality of Moerdijk. This applies to graves marked with a notice sign. These signs will remain on the graves in question for one year starting April 1, 2026.

There are no known heirs to these graves. You can view a list of the graves in question below:
Request for Registration of the Rights Holder
You can register as the rightful owner of one of these graves. The grave rights will then not revert to the municipality of Moerdijk but will be transferred to you. You may submit a request for this by April 1, 2027.
Removal of Grave Markers Following the Expiration of Grave Rights
If no beneficiary has come forward by April 1, 2027, and the lease term has expired, the grave marker will be removed.
Clearing out graves
Once the burial rights have reverted to the municipality, the graves may be cleared. The remains will then be transferred to a communal grave at the cemetery.
